El maestro Alejandro Obregón murió ayer en su residencia del sector amurallado de Cartagena a los 72 años de edad, después de una brillante carrera que lo llevó hasta el reconocimiento mundial de su obra pictórica, siendo ganador de premios nacionales e internacionales. En su pintura empleó símbolos con los que fundió lo real con lo maravilloso. En la foto, autorretrato del maestro.

Se anuncian grandes y seguras probabilidades de que en las actuales sesiones extraordinarias del Congreso norteamericano sea aprobado el Tratado colombo-yanqui. La colonia colombiana residente en Nueva York comunica esta noticia y ruega a la Prensa de Colombia que se abstenga de agresiones y comentarios desagradables contra Estados Unidos pues traerían funestas consecuencias.
